Indirect attacks are the kind you don’t see coming. When you see it, it’s too late. Captain B. H. Liddell Hart, a British World War I veteran, military historian and strategist said, “In strategy the longest way round is often the shortest way there; a direct approach to the object exhausts the attacker and hardens the resistance by compression, whereas an indirect approach loosens the defender’s hold by upsetting his balance. Often our worst enemies in life are not direct and obvious, but indirect.” Israel learned this lesson. Let their example serve for our encouragement.
