How to Pray (Psalm 67:1–7)

Over the years, we have reformed as a church in our understanding and practice of prayer. But this reformation is not over; we need to be constantly reforming as we learn more about what God expects of his people in prayer. Psalm 67 offers us some insight into a particular aspect of prayer: the prayer of confession.

The local church is God’s appointed means for the fulfilling of the Great Commission. The local church therefore is God’s appointed means for cross-cultural missions. And when the local church sends missionaries, it is responsible to care for and support those missionaries. The church does so financially, relationally, and administratively—but this is all undergirded by supporting them prayerfully.
