CloseChristians can suffer from two opposite maladies. On the one hand, we can be faithlessly pessimistic as we look at the condition of the world while losing our vision of Jesus Christ. On the other, we can be faithfully optimistic, which sometimes morphs into an unhealthy because unbiblical triumphalism. Psalm 72 provides a corrective, showing us how to view the Christian life in the here and now.
