CloseThe Olivet Discourse, recorded in Mark 13, along with its parallels in Mathew 24 and Luke 21, is one of the most sobering passages in Scripture. It is also one of the most confused passages. I disagree with the many who say that this is a very difficult chapter to interpret. When we approach it with a proper biblical theology, taking to accounts its original audience and its genre (prophecy), it becomes quite clear what the Lord’s burden was in this text.
