Making a Difference II (Acts 3:22-26)

Acts Exposition

Hope is the assignment of shepherds, of those who minister God’s Word. It is a major theme in the New Testament. God, in fact, is called “the God of hope” in Romans 15:13. Faith and hope are inseparable (Romans 4:18; 1 Corinthians 13:13). Romans, that great New Testament epistle that focuses wholly on the gospel, speaks of hope some 15 times. We conclude, therefore, that the gospel is a hopeful message whose design is to produce a hopeful people. In this study, it is my aim to present some firm reasons for believing that Jesus makes a difference, and to give hope that He will make a difference in the world through His church. I will do so by reviewing what we have already learned, by highlighting how a difference was made in this man’s life, and by showing why Peter believed that Jesus could and would continue to make a difference for the glory of God.
