1 Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father!
there is no shadow of turning with thee;
thou changest not, thy compassions they fail not:
As thou hast been thou forever wilt be.
Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided—
great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
2 Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided—
great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
3 Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow—
blessings all mine with ten thousand beside!
Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided—
great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
COME, BEHOLD THE WONDROUS MYSTERY
1 Come, behold the wondrous myst’ry,
in the dawning of the King;
he the theme of heaven’s praises,
robed in frail humanity.
In our longing, in our darkness,
now the light of life has come;
look to Christ, who condescended,
took on flesh to ransom us.
2 Come, behold the wondrous myst’ry,
he the perfect Son of Man;
in his living, in his suff’ring
never trace nor stain of sin.
See the true and better Adam,
come to save the hell-bound man;
Christ, the great and sure fulfilment
of the law: In him we stand.
3 Come, behold the wondrous myst’ry,
Christ, the Lord, upon the tree;
in the stead of ruined sinners
hangs the Lamb in victory.
See the price of our redemption,
see the Father’s plan unfold;
bringing many sons to glory,
grace unmeasured, love untold.
4 Come, behold the wondrous myst’ry,
slain by death the God of life;
but no grave could e’er restrain him:
Praise the Lord, he is alive!
What a foretaste of deliv’rance,
how unwavering our hope;
Christ, in power resurrected,
as we will be when he comes.
1 You made the starry host; you traced the mountain peaks.
You paint the evening skies with wonders.
The earth is your throne from desert to the sea—
all nature testifies your splendour.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord;
sing his greatness, all creation.
Praise the Lord, raise your voice,
you heights and all you depths
from furthest east to west.
Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord.
2 You reached into the dust; with love your Sprit breathed.
You formed us in your very likeness
to know your wondrous works, to tell your mighty deeds,
to join the everlasting chorus.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord;
sing his greatness, all creation.
Praise the Lord, raise your voice,
you heights and all you depths
from furthest east to west.
Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord.
3 Let symphonies resound; let drums and choirs ring out.
All heaven hear the sound of worship.
Let every nation bring its honours to the King:
a roar of harmonies, eternal.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord;
sing his greatness, all creation.
Praise the Lord, raise your voice,
you heights and all you depths
from furthest east to west,
you distant burning stars,
all creatures near and far,
from sky to sea to shore,
sing out forevermore.
Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord.
1 The radiance of the Father, before the dawn of time,
you spoke and all creation came to be.
The molecules and planets reveal your great design,
and every one was made so we could see, so we could see.
You are the glorious Christ, the greatest of all delights,
your pow’r is unequalled, your love beyond all heights.
No greater sacrifice than when you laid down your life—
we join the song of angels, who praise you day and night:
glorious Christ.
2 You left the air of heaven to breathe the dust of earth
and dwell among the outcast and the poor.
You came to be forsaken, and died to take our curse,
so you could be our joy forevermore—
forevermore.
You are the glorious Christ, the greatest of all delights,
your pow’r is unequalled, your love beyond all heights.
No greater sacrifice than when you laid down your life—
we join the song of angels, who praise you day and night:
glorious Christ.
Bridge: You’re seated now in heaven, enthroned at God’s right hand—
you’ve shattered death and freed us from our fears;
and though we cannot see you, you’re coming back again,
and all will be made right when you appear—
and all will be made right when you appear.
You are the glorious Christ, the greatest of all delights,
your pow’r is unequalled, your love beyond all heights.
You are the glorious Christ, the greatest of all delights,
your pow’r is unequalled, your love beyond all heights.
No greater sacrifice than when you laid down your life—
we join the song of angels, who praise you day and night:
glorious Christ.
1 O come, all you unfaithful,
come, weak and unstable,
come, know you are not alone.
2 O come, barren and waiting ones,
weary of praying,
come, see what your God has done.
Christ is born, Christ is born,
Christ is born for you.
3 O come, bitter and broken,
come, with fears unspoken,
come, taste of his perfect love.
4 O come, guilty and hiding ones,
there is no need to run:
See what your God has done.
Christ is born, Christ is born,
Christ is born for you.
Bridge: He’s the Lamb who was given,
slain for our pardon;
his promise is peace
for those who believe.
He’s the Lamb who was given,
slain for our pardon;
his promise is peace
for those who believe.
5 So come, though you have nothing;
come, he is the off’ring:
Come, see what your God has done.
Christ is born, Christ is born,
Christ is born for you.
Christ is born, Christ is born,
Christ is born for you.

1 Come, thou fount of every blessing,
tune my heart to sing thy grace;
streams of mercy never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious measure
sung by flaming tongues above;
O the vast, the boundless treasure
of my Lord’s unchanging love!
2 Hitherto thy love has blessed me,
thou hast brought me to this place,
and I know thy hand will lead me
safely home by thy good grace.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wand’ring from the fold of God:
He, to rescue me from danger,
interposed his precious blood.
3 O to grace how great a debtor
daily I’m constrained to be!
Let that grace, Lord, like a fetter,
bind my wand’ring heart to thee:
Prone to wander—Lord, I feel it—
prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart—O take and seal it,
seal it from thy courts above.
4 O that day when, freed from sinning,
I shall see thy lovely face,
full arrayed in blood-washed linen,
how I’ll sing thy sovereign grace.
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry,
bring thy promises to pass,
for I know thy pow’r will keep me
till I’m home with thee at last.
1 We will worship (echo)
with all of our heart (echo);
we will praise you (echo)
with all of our strength (echo).
We will seek you (echo)
all of our days (echo);
we will follow (echo)
all of your ways (echo).
We will give you all our worship,
we will give you all our praise.
You alone we long to worship,
you alone are worthy of our praise.
2 We will bow down (echo),
hail you as King (echo);
we will serve you (echo),
give you everything (echo).
We will lift up (echo)
our eyes to your throne (echo),
we will trust you (echo),
we will trust you alone (echo).
We will give you all our worship,
we will give you all our praise.
You alone we long to worship,
you alone are worthy of our praise.
We will give you all our worship,
we will give you all our praise.
You alone we long to worship,
you alone are worthy of our praise.
1 My Lord, what love is this that pays so dearly,
that I, the guilty one, may go free!
Amazing love! O what sacrifice,
the Son of God given for me!
My debt he pays and my death he dies
that I might live, that I might live.
2 And so they watched him die, despised, rejected.
But O, the blood he shed flowed for me!
Amazing love! O what sacrifice,
the Son of God given for me!
My debt he pays and my death he dies
that I might live, that I might live.
3 And now this love of Christ shall flow like rivers.
Come wash your guilt away, live again!
Amazing love! O what sacrifice,
the Son of God given for me!
My debt he pays and my death he dies
that I might live, that I might live.
1 I once was lost in darkest night,
yet thought I knew the way—
the sin that promised joy and life
had led me to the grave.
I had no hope that you would own
a rebel to your will,
and if you had not loved me first
I would refuse you still.
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ.
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.
2 But as I ran my hell-bound race,
indifferent to the cost,
you looked upon my helpless state
and led me to the cross.
And I beheld God’s love displayed:
You suffered in my place;
you bore the wrath reserved for me,
now all I know is grace.
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ.
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.
3 Now, Lord, I would be yours alone,
and live so all might see
the strength to follow your commands
could never come from me.
Oh, Father, use my ransomed life
in any way you choose,
and let my song forever be
my only boast is you.
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ.
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ.
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.

Doug—Benediction
1 From the squalor of a borrowed stable,
by the Spirit and a virgin’s faith;
to the anguish and the shame of scandal
came the Saviour of the human race!
But the skies were filled with the praise of heav’n,
shepherds listen as the angels tell
of the Gift of God, come down to man
at the dawning of Emmanuel.
2 King of heaven, now the Friend of sinners,
humble servant in the Father’s hands,
filled with power and the Holy Spirit,
filled with mercy for the broken man.
Yes, he walked my road, and he felt my pain,
joys and sorrows that I know so well;
yet his righteous steps give me hope again:
I will follow my Emmanuel!
43Through the kisses of a friend’s betrayal,
he was lifted on a cruel cross;
he was punished for a world’s transgressions,
he was suffering to save the lost.
He fights for breath, he fights for me,
loosing sinners from the claims of hell;
and with a shout, our souls are free—
death defeated by Emmanuel!
4 Now he’s standing in the place of honour,
crowned with glory on the highest throne,
interceding for his own beloved
till his Father calls to bring them home!
Then the skies will part, as the trumpet sounds:
hope of heaven or the fear of hell;
but the Bride will run to her lover’s arms,
giving glory to Emmanuel!
1 Whate’er my God ordains is right,
his holy will abideth;
I will be still whate’er he does
and follow where he guideth.
He is my God, though dark my road,
he holds me that I shall not fall;
and so to him I leave it all,
and so to him I leave it all.
2 Whate’er my God ordains is right,
he never will deceive me;
he leads me by the proper path,
I know he will not leave me.
I take content what he has sent,
his hand can turn my griefs away,
and patiently I wait his day,
and patiently I wait his day.
3 Whate’er my God ordains is right,
though now this cup, in drinking,
may bitter seem to my faint heart,
I take it all unshrinking.
My God is true, each morn anew,
sweet comfort yet shall fill my heart,
and pain and sorrow shall depart,
and pain and sorrow shall depart.
4 Whate’er my God ordains is right,
here shall my stand be taken;
though sorrow need or death be mine,
yet I am not forsaken.
My Father’s care is round me there,
he holds me that I shall not fall,
and so to him I leave it all,
and so to him I leave it all.
1 Angels we have heard on high,
sweetly singing o’er the plains,
and the mountains, in reply,
echoing their joyous strains.
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
2 Shepherds why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be,
which inspire your heav’nly song?
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
3 Come to Bethlehem and see
him whose birth the angels sing;
come adore, on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
4 See him in a manger laid,
Jesus, Lord of heav’n and earth;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid:
With us sing our Saviour’s birth.
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
Gl———-oria:
In excelsis Deo!
1 What child is this who, laid to rest,
on Mary’s lap is sleeping,
whom angels greet with anthems sweet
while shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King
whom shepherds guard and angels sing,
haste, haste, to bring him laud,
the Babe, the Son of Mary.
2 Why lies he in such mean estate
where ox and lamb are feeding?
Good Christian, fear, for sinners here
the silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear shall pierce him through,
the cross be borne for me, for you;
hail, hail the Word made flesh,
the Babe, the Son of Mary.
3 So bring him incense, gold and myrrh—
come peasant, king to own him;
the King of kings salvation brings—
let loving hearts enthrone him.
Raise, raise a song on high
the virgin sings her lullaby!
Joy, joy for Christ is born:
The Babe, the Son of Mary.
1 What is our hope in life and death?
Christ alone, Christ alone.
What is our only confidence?
That our souls to him belong.
Who holds our days within his hand?
What comes, apart from his command?
And what will keep us to the end?
The love of Christ, in which we stand.
O sing hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal;
O sing hallelujah! Now and ever we confess
Christ, our hope in life and death.
2 What truth can calm the troubled soul?
God is good, God is good.
Where is his grace and goodness known?
In our great Redeemer’s blood.
Who holds our faith when fears arise?
Who stands above the stormy trial?
Who sends the waves that bring us nigh
unto the shore, the rock of Christ?
O sing hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal;
O sing hallelujah! Now and ever we confess
Christ, our hope in life and death.
3 Unto the grave, what will we sing?
“Christ, he lives; Christ, he lives!”
And what reward will heaven bring?
Everlasting life with him.
There we will rise to meet the Lord,
then sin and death will be destroyed,
and we will feast in endless joy,
when Christ is ours forevermore.
O sing hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal;
O sing hallelujah! Now and ever we confess
Christ, our hope in life and death.

1 Joy to the world! the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.
2 Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns!
Let men their songs employ!
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
repeat the sounding joy
repeat the sounding joy,
repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
3 No more let sins and sorrows grow,
nor thorns infest the ground.
He comes to make his blessings flow
far as the curse is found,
far as the curse is found,
far as, far as the curse is found.
4 He rules the world with truth and grace,
and makes the nations prove
the glories of his righteousness,
and wonders of his love,
and wonders of his love,
and wonders, wonders of his love.
1 O come, all ye faithful,
joyful and triumphant,
come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
come and behold him,
born the King of angels:
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
Christ, the Lord.
2 Sing choirs of angels,
sing in exultation,
sing all ye citizens of heav’n above;
glory to God, all
glory in the highest:
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
Christ, the Lord.
3 Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
born this happy morning,
Jesus, to thee be all glory giv’n,
Word of the Father,
now in flesh appearing:
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
Christ, the Lord.
1 The first noel, earth and heaven embraced
as a virgin beheld her newborn babe:
From realms on high to a manger on earth
salvation had dawned in a lowly birth.
Noel, noel, noel, noel: Born is the King of Israel.
2 The Son of God: In kindness he came
as a friend to the hopeless, the lost, and the lame;
our sins he bore, yet his name we despised
and the hands that brought healing were pierced as he died.
Noel, noel, noel, noel: Born is the King of Israel.
3 The Author of Life: There lifeless he lay
as the grave cast its shadow and darkness reigned,
then out of death broke forth a great light
as he rose up in vict’ry: the glorious Christ!
Noel, noel, noel, noel: Born is the King of Israel.
4 Now let us all, with one accord,
bring praises to our heavenly Lord,
for Christ has our salvation wrought
and with his blood mankind has bought.
Noel, noel, noel, noel: Born is the King of Israel.
1 Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King!”
Peace on earth, and mercy mild—
God and sinners reconciled!
Joyful all ye nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with angelic hosts proclaim:
“Christ is born in Bethlehem.”
Hark! the herald angels sing:
“Glory to the newborn King!”
2 Christ by highest heav’n adored,
Christ, the everlasting Lord:
Late in time behold him come,
offspring of a virgin’s womb.
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see,
hail th’incarnate Deity!
Pleased as man with men to dwell,
Jesus, our Emmanuel.
Hark! the herald angels sing:
“Glory to the newborn King!”
3 Hail the heav’n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,
ris’n with healing in his wings.
Mild he lays his glory by,
born that man no more may die;
born to raise the sons of earth,
born to give them second birth.
Hark! the herald angels sing:
“Glory to the newborn King!”
4 Come, Desire of Nations, come!
Fix in us thy humble home:
Rise, the woman’s conq’ring seed,
bruise in us the serpent’s head.
Adam’s likeness now efface,
stamp thine image in its place:
Second Adam from above,
reinstate us in thy love.
Hark! the herald angels sing:
“Glory to the newborn King!”
1 O holy night! the stars are brightly shining,
it is the night of our dear Saviour’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born;
O holy night, O night, O night divine.
2 Humbly he lay, Creator come as creature,
born on the floor of a hay-scattered stall.
True Son of God, yet bearing human feature,
he entered earth to reverse Adam’s fall.
In tow’ring grace, he laid aside his glory
and, in our place, was sacrificed for sin.
Fall on your knees! O hear the gospel story!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born;
O holy night, O night, O night divine.
3 Come, then, to him who lies within the manger:
with joyful shepherds, proclaim him as Lord.
Let not the promised Son remain a stranger:
In reverent worship, make Christ your adored.
Eternal life is theirs who will receive him:
with grace and peace their lives he will adorn.
Fall on your knees! Receive the gift of heaven!
His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim;
his pow’r and glory evermore proclaim.
