CloseChristians speak of Good Friday not because they can sleep in on a public holiday, or take the day off work, or enjoy a long weekend. We call it Good Friday because we celebrate the death—the suffering and crucifixion—of Jesus. But this day marks the dramatic and perfect completion of God’s plan to save his people from their sins, and to restore his relationship with them.
