CloseThroughout history, the church has found itself in the midst of various storms, which have seemed to impede her progress. The church has had to “row hard” in the face of such adversaries. But she has rowed hard and, as she has done so, Jesus, the Captain of our salvation, has come alongside so that, with him in the “boat,” the church has made incredible progress. The text before us reminds us of this truth and encourages us to trust our Captain to help us safely navigate the storms of life.
