We may have the erroneous idea that Christians should just know how to pray. Praying, we often say, is to the Christian as breathing is to a person. And since people don’t need to be taught how to breathe, why should we be taught to pray? But the truth is, prayer does not come naturally. Prayer is something we can and should learn.
