CloseIn the verses before us, Jesus began his public ministry of preaching the gospel of God. Fundamentally, the good news is that God is King. And with a king comes a kingdom. But the good news of the kingdom is only good news for those who own the King as King. For those who do not, the same news is everlastingly bad news—because the King will conquer his enemies.
