Right with God (Romans 4:1-8)
Living as an individual in this world is fraught with tensions and problems. If you haven’t realised this yet, it’s because you haven’t lived long enough yet. In the West, we tend to believe the gospel of achievement: We can achieve anything we want if we just put our mind to it. If you fail to achieve—thereby failing to contributing to society—you are considered expendable. In this scheme, affirmation is our drug of choice. And yet there is something in us that wants to be loved even by someone who has seen us at our worst. But the only way we can experience this type of love is if we know the forgiveness of sins.
