It is often said that there is power in prayer. Without quibbling over theological caveats, any experienced and thinking Christian will heartily agree. There is indeed power in and through prayer. And the corollary is equally true: that "many Christians can trace the secret of a defeated life to prayerlessness" (Boice). If we will properly put on the gospel armour, committed to stand as we face the enemy, we will need to put on each piece with prayer. All of us need be praying always with all prayer. If we don't, then all of us are in grave danger of not standing.
