With the South Africa’s move to Alert Level 1, restrictions have been eased so as to allow a maximum of 250 people for an indoor service and 500 for an outdoor service (provided that not more than 50% of the available space is used). This allows us to meet outdoors on Sunday mornings while accommodating the entire church membership.
In light of this allowance, BBC will be, until further notice, meeting outdoors on Sunday mornings so as to accommodate the full membership. To avoid the brunt of the heat, we will move our service to 8:00 AM. We invite you to join us. We suggest:
Per government regulation, we are required to keep full registration details of all attendees for up to six months follow the service. To facilitate this process, we have created an online registration form where you can register before arrival. This will ease the time required for you to register on the day. Initial registration is quite comprehensive. After the first time, the process is far quicker.
Come dressed comfortably for warm weather. Shorts are fine. Bring sunscreen and hats. Feel free to bring umbrellas or gazebos and set them up in a way that does not obscure the view of other worshippers.
In addition to our own parking, several surrounding businesses have allowed us to use their parking space. Available parking includes:
- the church office;
- the business directly across from the church office;
- the clinic; and
- the main church parking lot.
Gates into the church office in Chrissie Street and the main church parking lot in Hennie Alberts Street will be open. The gate in Chrissie Street into the Sunday school property will remain closed since that is where the seating will primarily be.
When you arrive, you will have your temperature scanned, per legislation, and will find the foot-operated hand sanitiser stands at the registration tables. Chairs will be provided in stacks. Take chairs for your family and set them up in the rows as indicated. Remember to leave the appropriate distance between you and the next family unit. Feel free to bring a blanket for younger kids who would rather sit on the floor than on a chair.
Remember that everybody attending, three-years-old or older, is still required by legislation to wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth.
Song lyrics will be printed in the bulletin and included in the weekly roundup for those who prefer to access them digitally.
