Holy Hatred, Divine Love (Proverbs 6:12–19)

God can either be a strong fortress and a help in need of trouble or an earth-melting enemy. He can either be your ally, taking care of your tomorrow, or your adversary, bringing you to a swift end. He can either be your friend, who sticks closer than a brother, or your foe, who will hunt you down and destroy you. Proverbs 6:12–19 draws a contrast between God’s holy hatred and his divine love.
