The Ascended King (Acts 1:6–11)

Protestants tend to not place a lot of weight on a Christian liturgical calendar. For the most part, Protestants have little problem celebrating the incarnation (Christmas) and crucifixion (Good Friday), but many do not give a great deal of thought to other holydays, such as Ascension Day. Properly understood, however, the ascension of Christ is one of the most significant events in his life and ministry.
