Surviving the Storm (Mark 4:35–41)

Have you ever wanted to just give up? To just throw in the towel and quit? Perhaps you have faced temptation to quit a relationship, or a ministry, or even your faith. When things don’t go as we think they should, we are tempted to quit. We face the temptation to hopelessness and unbelief—failure to believe the promises of God. In the text before us, the disciples were at the end of their rope, facing a storm they thought they would not survive. But Mark points to the Lord Jesus Christ, who brought them safely through the storm, and who is able to see us safely through our own storms.
