GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them.
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future at the death of a loved one. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. It can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
GriefShare is a thirteen-week course, which meets weekly to help face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each session has three distinct elements: (1) a video seminar with experts; (2) focused support group discussion; and (3) time for personal study and reflection.
GriefShare meets on Monday nights from 6:25 PM to 8:30 PM at 37 Hennie Alberts Street (Corner Chrissie Street), Brackenhurst (entrance in Chrissie Street). There is a once-off cost of R150.00 per person for the course material. The dates for the next GriefShare course are as follows:
February: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
March: 11th, 18th, 25th
April: 1st, 8th
May: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
If you or someone you know would benefit from this course, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put you in touch with the organisers.
