Gathered for Good (1 Corinthians 11:17–34)

The Scriptures define a church as a gathered congregation: one body, gathered in Christ, gathered to Christ, gathered to grow in Christ and gathered to serve Christ. As we have come to appreciate in an existential way over the past seven months, partial gathering of the congregation is not the same thing as being together. Being “sub-divided” is not the same thing as being whole. Though a person may be grateful they are alive despite an amputation, nevertheless, a healthy and whole body is still first prize. So it is for the membership of the local church.

Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 11:17-34
