Knowing God means seeking him first. We are selfish by nature, seeking our own desires and pleasures rather than seeking first the kingdom of God. Too often we are foolish and run away rather than running towards our “strong tower.”
“Go to the ant, oh sluggard. Consider her ways and be wise.” Work is good. Our hearts are bad. Solomon’s wisdom instructs us to look to creation for help to fight the scourge of laziness.
In times of uncertainty, we have a certain hope in our God of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Christians are called to be kind to one another, tender-hearted, and forgiving one another. But this cannot be done apart from the gospel. Love for the gospel is the root cause and enabler for Christians obey this command.
